It’s official. And it’s exciting! Sage Institute of Education has signed as a major sponsor for National Basketball League team, Melbourne United for the 2016 – 17 season. This partnership is also great news for Sage students – especially as it involves appointing Melbourne United and Boomers player, Chris Goulding, as Sage Ambassador! All the team at Sage look forward to seeing Chris make his guest appearances on campus, and providing motivational talks to students.
Melbourne United CEO, Vince Crivelli, was excited to have Sage on board: “Sage is a great fit for the club given its focus on providing courses and training in areas such as massage and fitness where they give people the opportunity to be the best in their chosen career”.
“Sage students will have the opportunity to participate in internships with Melbourne United and work closely with our basketball department seeing how an elite sporting organisation operates and learn from some of the best in the business”.
Said Sage Institute of Education CEO, Robert Hornsey, “At Sage, we are proud to offer progressive and industry-leading educational programs giving people the chance to change their lives and laying the foundations for a long and successful career. Just like Melbourne United does for their players in giving them the opportunity to excel, we see a strong correlation between them and what Sage does for students through education”.
“It’s an innovative sponsorship that sees two strong brands who share similar synergies and values coming together. We see great opportunities to support each other in what we believe will be a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership”.
“Our partnership will provide an additional edge for both the massage students and Fitness Coaching Diploma students who will now have the opportunity to experience working at an elite level, putting their knowledge and skills into practice and working with industry leaders”.
“It’s partnerships like these that continue to give students at Sage an edge and reaffirm our position as leaders in the RTO sector. We are proud to continually be expanding the opportunities provided to Sage students ensuring they graduate with industry recognised and respected qualifications with a real-life experience giving them the very best start to their career,” Mr Hornsey said.
Sage Group National Training Manager, Andre Sammut, agreed: “Melbourne United recognises that Sage is the industry leader in fitness training and development as well as massage and that our diplomas provide students with a level of education greater than your average PT or massage course allowing them to competently work with the elite athletes at Melbourne United”.
Sage Institute of Education – it’s more than a job, it’s a rewarding career.
